The Soofie

You gave up your Soofie three days ago, to give it to your new cousin.

In exchange we gave you a new Minnie dolly.

This is not a fair exchange apparently, because you scream every night until I remind you about the new baby. 

You are so sweet, wanting to help the new baby. It makes my heart sing to know that under your sense of loss, and anger at losing the security of your soofie, you are still the same kind hearted girl.

If you could stop they anger though... that would be great. I   l o n g   for the days when you stop scratching and biting me. Although.. you ARE only two... so I guess I understand. 

I love you always, and thank you for being so understanding about losing your Soofie.

Travelling with Madison Lee.

Having just returned from Ontario, Madison constantly calls for her Auntie Ya-Ya. She's done it 13 times in two days so far. 

It so sweet, and yet heartbreaking as well. 

I have to get down on her level and tell her that Auntie Ya-Ya is at home in Ontario. She always looks at me and wrinkles her face, then smiles and says: "yeah"

Needless to say we miss everyone out in Ontario, and everyone, including myself, wishes we could move this upcoming summer, or fall at the latest, but unfortunately it will have to wait until the following spring. 

We miss you other family.
